On January 14, 2010, Google Lat Long blog announced a new real time information sharing feature in Google Place Page.
This feature will help Local business owners to share real time information with visitors by updating information on their Google Place Page (But for that you first need to claim your business on Google Local Business Center). The information can be a press release, special / promotional offer, latest holding event or any other information you want to share with visitor.
Before you rush to rock your Google Place Page, read few focus points below:
- The information should be compact in 160 characters (with space).
- The information will stop showing after 30 days of its posting.
- Only single latest news will be displayed at a time.
How to post on your Place Page?
- Login in to Google Local Business Center
- Click on “View report” under Statistic column.
- On right-top corner you’ll find an option to “Post to your place page”
- Write information in below text box and click on post!
In few seconds you’ll be able to see that information on your Google Place Page.
