DHANTERAS – An Insight
Dhanteras is also known as “Dhanatrayodashi" & "Dhanvantari Trayodashi". The word DHAN literally means Wealth and Teras signifies the 13th day of the Hindu calendar. The festival is celebrated to worship Goddess Laxmi (The goddess of wealth) for bringing wealth and prosperity in our lives.
On the eve of Dhanteras, the diyas are lit along with the motif of Rangoli at the entrance of the house or workplace to welcome the goddess Laxmi. A spiritual day filled with faith, devotion, colors and a lot of happiness all round
Celebration at ZealousWeb
ZealousWeb celebrated the first day of the five-day Diwali celebration with uttermost faith and devotion. The usual significance of Dhanteras is for business community as people usually purchase gold and other metal on the auspicious day. However, we ZEALOUSCIANS celebrated the day, to pay our respect and thank goddess Laxmi for shining bright on us.
To thank the goddess, “Laxmi Puja” was organized at ZealousWeb and the whole team enthusiastically took part in it. Everyone attended the Puja with devotion and it was concluded with an Aarti. Blessings in the form of sweets were distributed among the team.
The event concluded with fireworks to celebrate the occasion and the distribution of Diwali gifts to all the team members with a blessing to achieve prosperity and success in future.
An auspicious day filled with a lot of devotion and once again all ZEALOUSCIANS came together to celebrate the day.
