Job Responsibilities
Requirements Elicitation and Analysis:
- Conduct thorough requirements gathering sessions with product managers, product owners, business stakeholders, and project teams to understand business needs and objectives related to web platforms and eCommerce systems.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Act as the primary point of contact for communication and clarification of business requirements, working closely with product managers, product owners, and business stakeholders.
Documentation:
- Create and maintain detailed business requirements documents (BRDs), user stories, use cases, process flows, and other relevant documentation using tools like Confluence.
Solution Design:
- Collaborate with the project team (developers, designers, QA) to translate business requirements into functional specifications and ensure the proposed solutions align with business goals and technical feasibility.
Agile Participation:
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, to ensure requirements are well-understood and the project stays on track.
Product Ownership Support:
- Assist the product manager and product owner in prioritizing requirements, managing the product backlog, and making decisions related to scope and functionality.
Testing and Validation:
- Support the QA team by providing clarification on requirements, reviewing test plans, and participating in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the delivered solution meets the defined business needs.
Domain Expertise:
- Apply in-depth knowledge of digital commerce/eCommerce principles, best practices, and industry trends to provide valuable insights and recommendations.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve business analysis processes and methodologies within the project and the organization.
Technical Skills Required
Business Analysis Tools:
- Proficiency in Azure DevOps, Jira, and Confluence for managing user stories, tasks, and documentation.
- Expertise in creating process flows, use cases, and visual representations using tools like Figma and Miro.
Agile Methodologies:
- In-depth knowledge of Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Experience with Scrum and Kanban methodologies to manage projects effectively.
Web Platforms & Technologies:
- Strong understanding of web platform technologies and architectures, including content management systems (CMS) and eCommerce systems.
- Familiarity with eCommerce platforms like Hybris, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
eCommerce Domain Expertise:
- Extensive knowledge of eCommerce concepts, such as product catalogs, shopping carts, checkout processes, order management, and customer experience.
- Experience in digital commerce solutions and integrating them with backend systems.
Documentation & Communication:
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining business requirements documents (BRDs), user stories, use cases, process flows, etc., using documentation tools like Confluence.
Testing & Validation:
- Ability to support QA teams with clarification on requirements, reviewing test plans, and participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC):
- Experience in collaborating with development teams to ensure the design and implementation of solutions meet business needs and technical requirements.
Tools for Project Management:
- Experience in using Jira or Azure DevOps to manage tasks, defects, and user stories in an Agile environment.
